What Day is it…

Today’s post was sent to a blog reader from a random drawing selection.  I had promised to send a gift made personally and this is what was sent…

Hoping Rosemary has received her gift and this post isn’t ruining her surprise.  Thought this little desk calendar would be useful in her stamping space.

Because I gave away the only catalog I had with me (I’m still with “the littles” in Florida) I don’t have the exact name of the stamp set.  But it is in the Occasion Catalog with coordinating framelits and it is awesome!  I’ve seen so many really cute and clever things made with this set.

I can give you the dimensions to the calendar stand…

The Thick Whisper White base is 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored on the long side at 4″, 8″, 9″ and 10″.  Make the 9″ score a valley fold and the 8″ and 10″ mountian folds.  Attach the last inch fold to the top of the card piece and stand it up.

The Calypso Coral cardstock is 4″ x 4-1/4″ attached with SNAIL.

The DSP layers are 3-7/8″ x 4-1/8″ attached with SNAIL, and 3-7/8″ x 1-3/4″ for the top layer attached with SNAIL.

The calendars I ordered from Tayloredexpressions.com.  The cardstock behind the calendar was cut 1/8″ wider than the calendar.

The T-Shirt was stamped on scrap of Thick Whisper White in Smoky Slate and cut out with framelit.

The T-Shirt message was stamped in Calypso Coral.

The T-Shirt collar was stamped in Calypso Coral and cut with framelit and attached with a piece of dimensional.

The T-Shirt was added to top of calendar with multipurpose glue

So today is going home day.  One more school pick up and one more after school treat before I leave.  It’s been fun to be  involved in their daily activities and be here when they get home.  Of course the amazing warm, no humidity weather has been pretty nice too.

  1. Love the pictures of the “littles”. They are so adorable. I’m sure you’ve enjoyed your stay. We are supposed to get some snow tomorrow, so you may be getting back home at the right time.

The calendar is so cute. I love the quote on the tee shirt. Perfect for Rosemary’s craft room. I had not looked closely at that stamp set, but the collar on the shirt is darling. Just love it.

I have already copied and sent today’s “b-ism” to some friends. It’s a great one. Thanks for always have fun and creative things for us…and this week taking care of grandma duties, too. You are so special. Have a safe trip home.

    • Oh I had a great time with “the littles” this past week. Their school schedule is pretty chaotic though…really kept me on my toes! This desk calendar was the first time I had to play with this set, but I do have plans for more posts with it! So glad you liked the “B-ism”…I’ve got to get back in my yoga class this week!…B!

  2. Billie I love my surprise! I haven’t gotten it in the mail yet, but now I’m really excited to get it! The funny part is my favorite color is red so when I saw the red I was delighted to say the least I love the calendar & the stamp used (that stamp is on my list to get!) As always I loved your b-ism especially since I’m retired So glad you had a great time with the “littles”. Thank you again for the awesome surprise!

    • My goodness Rosemary…I didn’t send it pony express! That package was mailed over a week ago…please let me know when you receive it…B!
