In yesterday’s post I showed you an evelope box perfect for giving handmade card sets. Since I have a party coming up I have made a Watercolor Designer Note Card set for the hostess and plan to gift them in the envelope box to match.
Here’s the first card in the set…
When I first considered this dark Gumball Green card front I was stumped for a little bit. I wanted an excuse to use my new People Like You stamp so I inked it up in black stamped on the dark green. Hmmm…that didn’t do it for me, so I stamped it again on Whisper White cardstock and punched out just the statement with the Decorative Label punch (I love that SU! makes stamps that match our punches!). Now I liked it better but it did need some color. Ahhh..another excuse to use a new stamp set and matching punch that comes in a bundle…the Petite Petals stamp and punch (#134822, $21.25) Yes! now this was much better. But you know a linen thread bow never disappoints and always adds just the right touch. Now I’m a happy camper.
Tomorrow’s post will show another card from this set, so click back by then to see what I’ve come up with for this set.
Did you miss this Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Card set on page 22 of the Celebrate the Everyday catalog? I am impressed with the quality of the paper and the pre-printed designs make it so easy to create beautiful cards in less time. (#133362, $12.95 for 20 cards)
Here’s your “B-ism” for today: “Let your dreams be bigger than your fears.”
I’ve made three videos today so you know I’m all inky…
