So I’m off the wedding cards for a while and have been playing with Christmas card ideas for my personal use and for classes coming up next month. This little card is 4 x 4 and the perfect size to use the envelope punch board to make a coordinating envelope. My intention was to create the appearance of looking past an indoor tree to the outside. What do you think?
Markers were used to color the tree and decorations before using the two-way glue pen and adding glitter. You know I love glitter and bling. Other than the “fussy” cutting of the tree, this is a pretty simple card to make. The outdoor scene was created on a 2 1/2″ piece of Whisper White CS. After stamping with the Lovely As A Tree set, I cut the piece in quarters, sponged a little Crumb Cake around the edges and mounted on a piece of 2 3/4″ Early Expresso CS. Once this square was glued to the card front, the tree from Special Seasons was mounted on dimensionals and the greeting stamped in Early Expresso. Simple…Yes?
Of course, the rest of the day after working on these cards, I had glitter all over me as did Zoe and Willis who are always under my feet when I’m working in my studio.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you found something here today to inspire you to get your fingers inky.
Here’s your “B-ism” for today…Even the darkest night will end, and the sun will rise.”
