If you follow this blog you have seen each month a calendar page created to celebrate the passing of time. My granddaughter, Kendall, and I made these last November to enjoy all this year and bring back memories of precious time spent together in my studio. She finished hers that day. Mine has been a work in progress these last two months.
However, this has been a great gift from me to me…you might think about the gift of your artwork for someone on your holiday gift list. I know I am…
This little koala is just so darn cute. A bit of dimension was added to her with some Crystal Effects on her nose and the punched flower. Had to add a little blush to her cheeks, too.!
And the dahlia for September (my birthday month which I plan to celebrate ALL month!) was colored with the Calypso Coral Blendability pens. The flower was “fussy cut” and added with dimensionals. The shadow underneath and to the side was made with the Smoky Slate Blendability pen. For even more dimension rhinestones were colored and added to the flower to mimic dew drops.
Hope you might be inspired to make one of these for yourself first…then you’ll know how much this gift will be appreciated. Oh! and the calendars were purchased from Paper Source (papersource.com, $8.95 with an acrylic holder) They are printed on watercolor paper and take ink and the Blendability pens very well.
Here’s your “B-ism” for today…”Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass…It’s about learning to dance in the rain.”
In the rain or any time…just dance.
I’m definitely inky with all these classes this week…but I’m very HaPpY!
