The Party’s Over…

But it was so much fun!  There is so much I’d like to share with you.  Feels really good talking to you since I’ve missed posting the last three days.  Hope you missed me a little too… Before convention I shared my roomie gift that was given to my roomies at convention.  Today I’d like to share the roomie gifts I received…they are amazing. jeanne Isn’t that the cutest?  This great gift for Christmas was made by Jeanne Moss.  She has used the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder for the Whisper White background.  The two  green trees are attached flat and the red tree is lifted with dimensionals with a Vintage Faceted Button and White Baker’s Twine.  The “joy” is Cherry Cobbler and matches the frame perfectly.  Jeanne told me she found the frame at a “dollar” store and ditched the glass.  This art piece fits inside a box used for stamp sets. peggys This sweet gift was made by Peggy Powers.  You can tell by the container of ribbon pictured beside the paint can that its a quart can (I think).  Awesome gift!  Inside (I should have taken a photo of the inside) there are travel sized toiletries, a small magnetic notebook with matching pen and a cute card holder with gift cards for Subway and my FAV Starbucks!  Peggy says she used the White Jute Ribbon but cut it a smaller width for the top and bottom trim, plus separated the individual strands to use behind that gorgeous butterfly and for the small bow.  She shared that her husband picked up a case of these cans at a construction site for FREE!  A stamper can think of many things to do with a paint can for heaven’s sake. bulletinbd Sue Parker (SparkledWeb) made this adorable little bulletin board (it fits inside a Paper Pumpkin box).  She doubled the thickness so she could attach the Watermelon Wonder Lace between the layers and so the cute little thumbtacks made from the In-Color Blossoms wouldn’t extend from the back.  She even included a picture of the two of us from a previous SU! gathering and the convention logo from this year’s event.  Adding the flowers in more of the In-Colors is just the cherry on top.  I love this little bulletin board and think it would make a wonderful pre-teen girls’ gift. Traveling yesterday from Salt Lake City was an adventure…my initial flight leaving SLC was delayed and set the day up for what might have been an overnight stay in Atlanta.  However, with much huffing and puffing and running in wedge heels with no back (giggles for those watching I’m sure) I made it to my connection as the last boarding passenger.  Whew! Thought I’d take a nap from SLC to Atlanta (even bought a pillow and blanket) but this awesome demo from Cummings, Ga., sat next to me and well…you know we started talking and before I knew it the trip was over. Here’s a pic of some of us the first day of convention waiting for the first general session… sueshot All relaxed and ready for fun. Tomorrow I’d like to share some of the notable swaps I received and examples of cards from the Stamp Across American class we attended Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.  There are sure to be some ideas that will inspire your creations. The night before leaving for convention, the order from July classes arrived and that day this months’ Paper Pumpkin arrived (love it!) and were left in the box sitting on one of the table tops.  Now all the materials, swag, samples and prize patrol gifts are also on another table top.  Can I just tell you this studio is a mess!  I’ll be back tomorrow with more inspiring ideas for you. Here’s your “B-ism” for today… minion19
