Box It In Stars…

There’s a new kit from Stampin’ Up! just in time to box up those special gifts for the holidays or decorate you tree and home.  It’s called Many Merry Stars (#138104, $25.95) and I’ve never seen a kit like this in my years at SU!

This kits makes 26 stars!…in six different sizes from 2″ to 15″.  The boxes make great stand alone decorations or tree ornaments, but my favorite is a gift topper rather than a bow.  It’s just so stinkin’ cute.  For lots and lots of ideas check the Stampin’ Up! Pinterest site at www.pinterest.com/stampinup.  Get ready for your socks to blow off.  Here’s a video to give you an even better idea about star boxes and how to make them.  Everything and I mean everything is included in the kit with supplies left over.  Enjoy!

Isn’t that fun?  This Many Merry Stars kit is on my counter and in the process of being created.  Look at all this stuff…

Here’s your “B-ism” for today…”If you leave a trail of glitter, you will never be forgotten!”

No problem here…I not only leave a trail but carry a cloud of glitter around me like the Peanuts character with the dust cloud.  It’s a great life!

Get inky…be HaPpY!

Sweet Lights…

Are you wondering if there is ever going to be an end to these tree decorations?  I just can’t stop!  This paper is so gorgeous and the ideas are pinging off my brain 24-7.  There are two more decorations and some gift packaging videos for you then I promise I’ll show the tree.  It’s probably going to be anticlimactic at this point.

Here’s today’s tree decoration…

Oh my these are so cute lite up on the tree…and those clothes pins are perfect for attaching them so they can stay upright.  A package of these little tea lights in the box store is $5.99 for six!  What a bargain.  In another post with a video I’ll show you a fantastic way to package these as gifts and use them in ways other than tree decorations…so be sure to stop by.

Are you interested in the Stuff ‘N Digits to make these little beauties?  Here you go…

Stuff:

  • Paper:  Crumb Cake cardstock
  • Ink:  VersaMark
  • Stamps:  Wondrous Wreath
  • Tools ‘N Embellishments:  Gold, Pewter and White Embossing Powder, 1/8″ Silver Ribbon, 5/8″ Satin Gold Ribbon, 2014-2016 In Color Clothes Pins, 1 3/8″ circle punch, 1/4″ circle punch and Wondrous Wreath Framelits

Digits:

  • Stamp the Wondrous Wreath on Crumb Cake cardstock with VersaMark and dust with Gold EP, then heat.  Stamp the second Wondrous Wreath over the Gold embossing in VersaMark and dust with Pewter EP then heat.  Using the berry Wondrous Wreath stamp with VersaMark over the gold and silver and dust with White EP then heat.  Gorgeous!
  • With the Wondrous Wreath framelit run through Big Shot.
  • Now I made a second wreath stamping just the first Wondrous Wreath in VersaMark on Crumb Cake and then cut it out.  I place it on the tea light first and position the two wreath so they DO NOT line up.  It creates sort of a shadow effect.  Try it, you’ll like it.
  • Now with the 5/8″ Gold Satin ribbon hot glue it to the tea light side.
  • Slide the two wreath over the top.  The inside leaves will bend upward and help hold it in place.  Tie the 1/8″ silver ribbon in a bow and hot glue to the side of the tea light.
  • Punch a 1/2″ circle in a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  Place the 1 3/8″ Punch over the opening and punch again.  You can either hot glue or Tomboy this to the top of the tea light.

Hope you like you little decoration as much as I like mine.  Be sure to come back by for more inspiration with these little lights.

Here is your “B-ism” for today…”Let yourself be drawn by the strange pull of what you love…it will not lead your astray.”

Well, I’m being “pulled” right back into my studio for more tree decoration fun!  Gets me inky…and HaPpY!

Christmas Tree Bling…

Here is another Christmas tree ornament to share with you today. It’s easy, it’s fast and it’s beautiful hanging on the tree.
There is a new white Christmas tree sitting in my studio and it’s almost ready to show you. There are a few more ideas that need to be finished and then pictures will be posted and there will be several videos on how to make the ornaments.
Everything on the tree is made with Silver Glimmer and the All Is Calm Designer Series Paper. Lots of stars and lots of bling…I think you are going to love it.
So here is today’s ornament for you…

Isn’t it cute sporting that bow?  And all that bling…right up my alley.  Are you interested in knowing how to make this little jewel?  Here are some Stuff ‘N Digits for you…

Stuff:

  • Paper:  Silver Glimmer Paper, All Is Calm Designer Series Paper
  • Ink:  None!
  • Stamps:  None!
  • Tools ‘N Embellishments:  1″ Circle Punch, Gift Bow Bigz-L Die, Styrofoam ball, 1/8″ Circle Punch, 1/8″ Silver Ribbon

Digits:

  • Punch lots of 1″ Silver Glimmer circles.  Keeping the circles in the same direction for each row, fill the entire ball with the Silver Glimmer circles (I used a hot glue gun).  Use one circle at the very bottom.
  • Punch a 1/8″ circle in the middle of one of the 1″ circles.  Fold a 10″ length of Silver ribbon in half and tie a knot using both ends of the ribbon.  Thread the loop through the 1″ circle leaving the knot on the underside of the circle and glue to the top of the ball.
  • Now die cut your DSP bow for the top and glue in place.

That’s all there is to this one and they do look so pretty on the tree.  Hope you’ll be inspired to give them a try.

Here’s your “B-ism” for today…”I am in competition with no one.  I have no desire to play the game of being better than anyone.  I am simply trying to be better than the person I was yesterday.”

Are you surprised I’m inky?…But, I’m HaPpY!
