Down the Rabbit Hole…

WE HAVE A BABY!!!

Everybody loves bunnies this time of the year.  I actually sent a video of two baby bunnies munching on snacks to my daughter-in-love and asked if “the littles” could have a bunny for Easter.  Her response was emphatic…and negative!

So I will content myself with these cute bunnies jumping into their rabbit holes as thank yous to my peeps this month…

How cute is that?

and they multiplied!

Those rosebuds were so popular (I loved them) and I have hoarded them all this time.  They were spritzed with Blushing Bride…

Would you like one of these notecards?  I’d be happy to send you one to thank you for your online order.  Just click the “shop now” star in the right column and shop to your heart’s content!

Here’s the Stuff ‘N Digits for this one…

Stuff

  • Paper:  3-1/2″ x 5″ Whisper White Notecard, Blushing Bride, Thick Whisper White and Basic Black Cardstock
  • Ink:  None!
  • Stamps:  None!
  • Tools ‘N Embellishments:  Scalloped Squares Framelits, Stitched Circle Framelits, Oval and Small Oval Punch, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (retired).  You could substitute a cotton ball or white pom-pom for his tail if you didn’t hoard the roses like I did

Digits:

  • Cut Blushing Bride Scalloped Square from Blushing Bride and emboss with your choice of EF.  Add to top front of notecard with multipurpose glue or SNAIL
  • Cut the larger Stitiched Circle from Basic Black with Framelit and add to card front with multipurpose glue
  • Cut the smaller circle using Stitched Circle Framelits and Thick Whisper White CS.  Add over Basic Black circle with dimensionals.
  • Punch two Thick Whisper White ovals with Oval Punch (or framelits if you have those) and two Blushing Bride ovals using the Small Oval Punch (or framelit).  Glue the smaller oval on top.  Add “toes” with Basic Black Marker.  Use multipurpose glue to add feet to white circle.
  • Add tail of your choice…I’m smiling as I type this!

I have traveled to Seiverville, TN to attend a retreat with Jackie Bultje (The Pampered Stamper) and will return tomorrow with all the excitement of the weekend.  Be sure to stop by tomorrow!

Here Comes Peter…

Cottontail!  Yep, Easter is right around the corner and this little guy was made for a private party of friends coming next week.  This group has been friends for decades and I get to see them once a year as they celebrate their friendship with a stamping party here at the studio.

My question is … what should I get to fill the bunny?

Here’s her cottontail…

Happy Bunny…

So yesterday I posted an Easter card with this same stamp set.  I mentioned I had been working (playing) with this single stamp and had made several cards not associated with Easter at all.  Meaning you could seriously use this stamp for occasions all year long so don’t put it up in your seasonal stamps.

Here’s my “Happy” bunny card…

happy1

See what I mean?  This could be a thank you card.  I just love this little dancing bunny.  Couldn’t you just see it saying “Dance like no one is watching”?

Want the Stuff ‘N Digits for this notecard?  Here you go…

Stuff

  • Paper:  3 1/2″ x 5″ Whisper White notecard, Soft Sky and Whisper White cardstock
  • Ink:  Memento Black, Pear Pizazz, Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral
  • Stamps:  Happy Easter Bunny, Perfect Petals, Crazy About You (sentiment) and Work of Art (grass)
  • Tools ‘N Embellishments:  Linen Thread, Perfect Polka Dots EF, Ovals Framelits, Blendability Pens and Calypso Coral Pom Pom Trim

Digits

  • The Soft Sky layer is 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″
  • The ovals framelit is the third from largest or whatever size you want your oval to be
  • Stamp the bunny with Memento Black ink and color with Blendability pens.  I used gray but you could also use brown for the bunny too.
  • Fussy cut the bunny.  I cut right through his one arm to get inside that loop and just laid it down with dimensionals.  You can’t even tell.
  • Stamp your grass with the small “swoosh” in Work of Art set, then the stems from Perfect Petals.
  • I first stamped a line of Crisp Cantaloupe flowers and went over it with Calypso Coral flowers.
  • Now run your Soft Sky layer through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots EF.  Crisscross your Linen Thread at the bottom and attach to notecard with regular adhesive.
  • Add your bunny with dimensionals  to the oval and the tail with a glue dot.  Attach to card front with Tombow Glue.

This card is so cute and dimensional in person.  He or she would be perfect for a baby shower gift card “Welcome Baby” or a child’s birthday.  Yep, this is a good little stamp to have in your stash.  Just click on the “Shop Now” star and send it to your door!

All our snow is melting today, but Zoe  (fur baby and boss of everything) and I got out and walked the cart path on the golf course.  The course itself had not been disturbed and it made for a gorgeous walk this morning.  It’s the little things…

weekend

And even though I don’t have to get out and work any more, the weekends are still special in this house.  Sweetum’s  and I have date night every Friday night….Yay!

Get those fingers inky…you’ll be HaPpY!

I stamped the “Happpy” and “You Make” on scrap Whisper White and trimmed on trimmer then tagged the ends with Hexagon punch.  Both were attached with dimensionals.

Irresistible Easter Bunny…

Hopefully next month when the Easter Bunny arrives the weather will be more spring-like.  We are close to negative temps here in the south and we are not used to that.  Can you say freezing?

Looking at all that is going on in the northeast, I’m feeling guilty even complaining.  So, I’m looking forward to spring and warmer temps and have made this cute little framed piece for one of my “littles”.
