Sweet Valentine Banner…

Well, my goodness, is my house ever getting “gussied up” for Valentine’s.  First the front doors and now the mantle…

valentinemantleI’m never very successful taking shots of this mantle, but you can at least see how it looks.  Here are a couple of close up shots…banner

And the other end of the banner looks like this…

banner1If you didn’t buy an extra kit of blank banners from the Holiday catalog like I did, you could always cut cardstock (Core’dinations cardstock would be nice as it’s extra thick) to make the base for your letters.  I do hope you got the stencil set.  Everything else I used is current including the Spiral Flower Die and the Designer Rosette Bigz XL Die, the new Banner Framelits Set.

Once the colors were set, I went to town with everything but the kitchen sink.  Lots of bling (pearls, rhinestones, buttons and bows).  The new Foil Vellum in gold and silver adds just the classic touch hear and there.  Once you get the basics done, it fun to just go crazy decorating til you just have to stop yourself.

Tomorrow I’ll share one more project for the mantle and move to another room of the house for one more home décor project.  Have I inspired you to “dress” your house for Valentine’s?

Here’s your “B-ism” for today:  “You can only be young once.  But you can always be immature.”
