Spring Sampler Happiness…

Today’s post has been in the works for a couple of months and I’m so excited to share it with you today.

I have the best “peeps” anywhere…a couple of months ago I suggested we make a 12 x 12 sampler and swap 3 x 3 cards.  None of them has ever participated in a swap but they readily agreed.

It was decided we would use a 3 x 3 Blushing Bride base for each sampler and then decorate in a spring theme using the color palette from the Designer Series Paper Birthday Blooms.  That was all the direction given.

Each person purchased their own 12 x 12 frame.  Mine looked like this yesterday…

But look at it today!…

Isn’t that the cutest?  They seemed to have so much fun swapping and couldn’t wait to get home and put their frames together too.

You can see from the first to the second photo I changed the background on mine.  However, it’s just DSP inside the frame so it can be changed over and over again.  The 3 x 3 cards are glue dotted to the glass…also easy to change up.

Here’s a bad shot (backlighting) of today’s group intensely working on their projects.  The group over the weekend was just as pleased with their swaps.  They have already stated they would like to make one for the summer season!

Hope you enjoyed seeing this project and that you might be inspired to make a sampler for the spring season…

Here’s your “B-ism” for today…

    • I just love the way this project came together…all the peeps were very happy with it too!…B!

  1. That is the cutest project I’ve seen recently. I love all the different elements and could take quite a while just mulling over everything. A sampler seems like a great project for some day in the future. Your “b-ism” is adorable today. I love the art and the sentiment. I hope you are having a wonderful day!

    • Samplers and swapping make for lots of fun…this one turned out perfect. I will cherish every little 3×3…B!

  2. Glue dots! What an innovative way to adhere the 3×3 cards, Billie. I just participated in a similar swap using the same DSP as inspiration, and I never would have thought of that. Will remember it for next time! BTW, your sampler is divine. (What does the banner above the window in your room say?)

    • Thanks so much Connie…I’m so glad you like, the sampler. The banner says CREATE…B!

  3. Love, love, love!
Would you mind explaining the glue dots attached to the glass? Won’t they show? I want to CASE your example but I couldn’t figure out the attaching process. TIA!

    • The 3×3 squares are attached directly to the glass outside the frame so that they can be as dimensional as you like. The glue dots are on the back of the squares and do not show at all…B!

  4. I love the sampler and your work is fabulous. I wish you were my upline. I have a banner for inspiration…it says “exhale creativity” on the chalkboard banners. Your emails are a bit of happy coming in my inbox. Thank you.

    • I wish I was your upline too! Personally I’ve never had one…thanks for your sweet comments, you’ve made my day!…B!
