Snowy Pine Mistake…

When you are creating cards, have  you ever experienced a “happy mistake”?

That’s what happened with this card. Initially I tried the darker pine stamp and the background dots from Gorgeous Grunge in Versanark ink…you know for a tone on tone effect.

But this is what I got after sprinkling with white embossing powder.  It looks like it’s snowing and I love it. I would totally do it this way again.

I am traveling this weekend and posting from my IPhone so will have to leave off the Stuff ‘N Digits. If you need them send me a message and I’ll send them to you.

Im NOT inky but so happy to be visiting my daughter in Baltimore.

  1. Oh, I love it when “mistakes” turn out so nice! I dare you to duplicate this!!! Have a great weekend.

  2. Just beautiful! Enjoy your visit with your daughter! Would you share the info when you get back? I’ve been looking for “that perfect card” for this year…this might just be “it”!

  3. Bill, I was trying very hard to resist buying this set, then I saw your gorgeous “mistake.” It was added to my order and submitted last night. Enabler! 🙂 I, too, would love the detail. Enjoy your time in Baltimore with your daughter. Thanks!

  4. Can you please share the colors of ink and card stock that you used. I would like to place an order to duplicate your card.

    • Hey Leslie…thanks for writing. If you go on my blog and just keep scrolling down, four posts down there is a post titled “Honoring Requests” that gives all the info for that card and how I made the lucky mistake. The only ink I used was Lost Lagoon. But I did use VeraMark too…B
