Rambling Rose Fall Retreat…

Here’s the one question that keeps popping up in my head…”Why did you wait so long to host a retreat?”  And the reason I keep asking myself that is this weekend I just enjoyed so much with my “stampin’ peeps” at my first ever Rambling Rose Studio Retreat.

Here’ a shot of the group as we began our creative weekend  journey…

This is the group freshly set up and sans Dazzling Diamonds.  From left:  Jan, Patty, Dawn, Moi, Pat, Barbara, Jeannette and Mary Pat.  Later we were dressed in pj’s, covered in Dazzling Diamonds and dimensional stickies but happy as pigs in mud.

We all made and presented a “shoe box” swap.  The variety was amazing in design and technique.  Here are a few samples for you…

Dawn had made a quilt design for us.  This was a new technique to many and everyone said they were going to try a Christmas quilt in the new DSP.  Me too!  I’ll share later.

A birthday card designed and presented by Janice.  Loved the color combo and the “Billie Bow”.

This  Christmas card was also a gift card holder presented by Jeanette.  Here’s a shot of the inside too…

Isn’t that beautiful?

Mary Pat presented this gorgeous fall card.

Dawn also brought this fun-fold, gift card holder.

Pat showed us how to make this layered card with a woodgrain background.

Barbara showed many of us for the first time how to “iris fold” this ornament.

And Patty “wowed” us with this “iris fold” tree.

In the evenings our hostess with the mostest, Fran Randolph, cooked our meals.  All I can say is we all wanted to take her home.  Here’s what dinner looked like…

I’m telling you our evening meals were to die for.  We had a full kitchen downstairs too and prepared and shared breakfast and lunch, but the evening meals were amazing.  Who am I kidding…we all gained a pound or two!  We pretty much grazed all day with a pot of coffee or a glass of wine.

My opening question remains…why did I wait so long to host a retreat?  Nevermind, I have another one rolling around in my mind and it’s not that far away…just sayin’.

Here’s the group hard at “work” saying see you next time…

Here’s your “B-ism” for today…

That’s all I’m going to say about that.

I’m glittery and inky…but this was the best weekend ever!  Be HaPpY!

    • We enjoyed a wonderful, creative time together. All the samples shown were made by my peeps. They are all so talented!…B

  1. It certainly looks as though all of you had a marvelous time. I love all the cards they made. TFS. The b-ism for today is perfect. You always find the best ones.
