Pyrex Pile Up…

Do you remember your mother or grandmother’s Pyrex or Corningware ovenware?  That’s what the bowls in the stamp set Fruit Basket reminded me of…

Now I know the Corningware was blue and white, but the Pyrex bowls were in happy colors so that’s what was used here.

A wonkie little border seemed perfect.

Here are the inks used.

and a peek inside…

Lots of memories using these bowls in another time, so this card could be called retro.  Here’s the Stuff ‘N Digits for you…

Stuff

  • Paper:  3-1/2″ x 5″ Whisper White Notecards and Lemon Lime Twist and Thick Whisper White Cardstock
  • Ink:  Archival Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise, Lemon Lime Twist, Pumpkin Pie and Going Grey
  • Stamps:  Fruit Basket
  • Tools ‘N Embellishments:  Blender Pen, .005 Black Micron Pen, Post It Note or Masking Paper

Digits

  • The Lemon Lime Twist layer is 4-7/8″ x 3-3/8″ attached to notecard with SNAIL.
  • The Top Thick Whisper White layer is 4-3/4″ x 3-1/4″. Mark a light pencil line around the edge to create a 1/4″ border.
  • Stamp bottom bowl in Tempting Turquoise.  Overstamp bowl with same ink using outline bowl stamp. Make a mask by stamping on Post It Note or Masking Paper and fussy cutting.  Cover Turquoise bowl with mask and stamp Lemon Lime Twist bowl at angle.  Stamp in same ink color with outline bowl stamp.
  • Remove mask from Turquoise bowl and cover Lemon Lime Twist bowl then stamp Pumpkin Pie bowl.  Overstamp Pumpkin Pie bowl with same color and bowl outline stamp.
  • Remove mask.
  • Make a curvy line around border following light pencil line.  Add three circles at each corner.  Add three dots each side of border randomly.  Erase pencil line.
  • Stamp sentiment in Archival Basic Black.
  • Stamp one bowl inside lower right corner.
  • Add stamped layer to card front with SNAIL.
  • You could add a bowl to the envelope to coordinate with the card front.

These bowls make me happy…lots of fun memories in the kitchen.
