It’s probably the kids in the image that makes me love it so much…but who doesn’t love a polar bear?
This is truly one of my favorite Christmas card stamp sets and this card is another serious contender for “the one.”
Are you interested in casing this card? Did you notice the envelope? Here’s the Stuff ‘N Digits for you…
Paper: Pear Pizazz, Lost Lagoon and Whisper White cardstock. All Is Calm DSP and watercolor paper.
Ink: Lost Lagoon, Memento Black, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Pear Pizazz and Daffodil Delight
Tools ‘N Embellishments: Circle Framelits, Star Border Punch, Aqua Painter
The base card is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
The Lost Lagoon layer is 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
The DSP layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″
The vertical Pear Pizazz layer is 4″ x 3 1/2″
The vertical DSP layer is 3 7/8″ x 3 3/8″
Cut your circles to the size you like or fits your stamp image.
After stamping my image in Memento Black on the smooth side of the watercolor paper, I used Crum Cake reinker mixed with water and washed in the ground of the image and Lost Lagoon reinker mixed with water for the sky.
You can then color the stamped image with markers. I also put some pale Crumb Cake shading on the bear.
Hope you have been inspired to try this simple water coloring technique. Please leave me a comment if you have questions.
Here’s your “B-ism” for today…”Someday someone is going to hug you so tight all your broken pieces will mend.”
I’m traveling til Monday and not very inky…but I’m HaPpY!
