This simple project turned out so well…better than I had at first imagined…I thought you would like to see it and maybe make it yourself.
Even though the title is pine cones in snow…the cone is actually the spiral flower die modified a little. Over the weekend I watched a video by Tim Holtz (ever heard of him?). He has his own line of everything artsy and is an amazing artist himself. He was making these pine cones with a new pine cone die he has. The whole time I watched I was thinking….hmmmmm. So I punched out a Baked Brown Sugar flower and used my 1/8″ circle punch to take out the center of each “petal” and started sponging and manipulating the paper around a toothpick. Here’s what happened…
This I liked! So here is the end result. This frame is from the April Paper Pumpkin kit…
Isn’t that simple and pretty? You could keep this little frame out all winter long instead just over the Holidays. Not to worry…a video is already in the works for you.
Are you enjoying beautiful fall weather where you are? I’m having a hard time staying inside. It is so gorgeous here in the south. Got a trip to the mountains planned for this weekend.
Thanks for stopping by today. Were you inspired in some way? I hope so…then my day is complete.
Here is your “B-ism” for today…”Life isn’t about finding yourself…Life is about creating yourself!”
I’m a work in progress…how about you?
Whatever…I’m inky and HaPpY!
