Metallic Peace ‘N Joy…

Today’s card is one that has been whirling around in my mind and finally I had a chance to play with the idea.  It’s not exactly as I pictured originally, but in a way turned out even better…

The title was chosen because it has embossed gold, silver and white elements.  There are a few more ideas similar but different to this one you may see in the next few days as I get time to play a little.  Here is the Stuff ‘N Digits for you in case you’d like to give a card like this a try…

Stuff:

  • Paper:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Brushed Silver cardstock.  Silver Glimmer Paper
  • Ink:  VersaMark
  • Stamps:  Wondrous Wreath, Good Greetings and Dotted Angles
  • Tools ‘N Embellishments:  1/8″ Silver Ribbon, Gold, Pewter  and White Embossing Powders, Linen Thread

Digits:

  • The Crumb Cake base card is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″he
  • The Brushed Silver layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • The Whisper White layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Stamp the base wreath on Crumb Cake with VersaMark ink, dust with Gold EP then heat
  • Stamp the second wreath of leaves with VersaMark ink, dust with Silver EP then heat
  • Stamp the wreath berries with VersaMark ink, dust with White EP then heat
  • Using Wondrous Wreath coordinating framelits, cut out wreath
  • Attatch Silver 1/8″ ribbon with glue dots
  • Stamp a 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ strip of Whisper White with greeting in VersaMark, dust with Pewter EP then heat
  • Layer the greeting on top of silver glimmer paper 3/8″ x 2 5/8″.  Trim and attach to inside of wreath with glue dots
  • Using the dotted stamp from Dotted Angles inked with VersaMark, stamp bottom of Whisper White layer, dust with Gold EP then heat
  • Using the dotted stamp again with VersaMark, offset the dots already on the card with the dotted stamp, dust with Pewter EP then heat
