Love Birds…

This little bird in the Love Life FREE stamp set in the SAB Catalog is adorable.  He (they) are so chubby and cute and it made this card fun to make.  Here’s the card…

Can you stand it?  I’m thinking this would not only be perfect for Valentines for a little something different, but a wedding or anniversary?  Absolutely!  Here is another occasion where the masking technique has been used…my favorite stamping technique  Do you notice their eyes?  There is just a little dot of Crystal Effects and it adds that little something…Hallmark would be so jealous!

Would you like to give this card a try?   Here are the Stuff ‘N Digits for you…

Paper:   Bermuda Bay and Whisper White cardstock plus Birthday Bash Specialty DSP

Ink:  Memento Black plus Blendabilities Pens Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Skin Tones, Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive

Stamps:  Love Life (FREE in SAB)

Tools ‘N Embellishments:  1/4″ Crushed Curry Ribbon (FREE in SAB)

5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″  Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4 1/4″

4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″  DSP

Attach the 1/4″ Crushed Curry ribbon to this DSP layer and then adhere to the card front.

3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″  Bermuda Bay cardstock

3 3/4″ x 5″  Whisper White stamped with one bird image slightly off center and sentiment in Memento Black

On a piece of copy paper stamp the bird image in Memento Black and “fussy cut” to use as your mask.  Add a small amount of adhesive to back and tap with finger to take off some of the sticky.

Place this mask over your original off center image and then stamp the bird image again just to the left and angled slightly different than the first image

Pull off your mask and Ta-Da!  Isn’t that the best ever?

Now use your Blendies to color like mine or any way you want.

I attached the image to the Bermuda Bay layer and attached this combined layer to the card front with dimensionals.

Well, this just turned out so cute I think I’ll make more in different colors.

It’s still REALLY cold here.  My fur babies hate going out in this weather.  If I put sweaters on them, they won’t even walk…just stand there looking at me looking like “Seriously?”  Here’s a shot from a store run this morning.  This fountain is just around the corner from my house…

Isn’t that amazing?  Going to save this shot for this summer when we are whining about the heat.

Here is your “B-ism” for today…

Getting ready for the girls to come tomorrow and make ‘Hope Notes” and eat Tortilla Chicken Soup.

So I’m VERY inky…and HaPpY!
