Life In South Korea…

 In the city of Seoul there are over 34 million people.  The traffic is crazy and noisy and there is a different smell around each corner.

My first dining experience was in a section of town called Itaewon.   The meals are served to share and your meat choice is cooked at your table on hot coals and vents are pulled down from the ceiling to prevent smoke.  Here’s a shot of me tiring kimchi for the first time…

Notice the the chop sticks?  I have more practice to do with them but managed to eat my meal.  A lot of the vegetables are pickled.  Here you added the meat to a leaf of lettuce then selected the vegetables over that and rolled up your lettuce leaf…it’s called beef and leaf.

Outside we walked through the market.  An assortment of merchandise, people and food of every description.  Here are a few shots of what I saw…
