Let’s Have A Tea Party!

When you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, your five-year-old granddaughter thinks you can make anything. Seriously? That’s what my granddaughter thinks anyway. She wanted a Tea Party for her 6th birthday. Was I up for it? You betcha!

The designer series paper Tea For Two was my choice for a banner. Giant dollies, little purses with treats for each guest and a paper doll name place for each little miss to take home.  There is a current DSP called Afternoon Picnic on page 151 of the catalog that would be perfect.

It all started with the invitations…

This stamp set (The Tea Shoppe) is retired now, but it made such cute invitations.  The card doesn’t open, rather the party info is on the “tea bag tag” that slides out of the tea cup.  There’s a little bling on the bag tag…gotta have my bling!

Then the little purse with treats inside…

Here is a close up of the name place card for each little girl.

The tea set was her birthday present. The little cake was made with empty embellishment containers.  I loved those pretty roses and hope SU! brings them back.  I placed a tea light inside so that you could lift the lid of the base container and turn the light on and off.

All in all it was a wonderful day. I’m hoping it will always be a sweet memory for her as it is for me. See? When you are a SU! Demonstrator you CAN make anything.

Here’s my “B-ism” for today…No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up!

Let’s get inky together…signature-line
