Koala Thinking of You…

How many times could you use a card like this cute little Koala?

IMG_1259

Is he adorable or what?  There are so many times I need a card just like this.  I’m so glad I went to the Stamp Across America class at convention where I made a card similar to this one.  Of course I had to put a little of my spin on it and added some Crystal Effects to his nose and some ribbon and linen thread.  That just seemed to make it even cuter!

This is a single stamp found on page 113 of the annual catalog.  I just couldn’t resist that little bear.  Would you like to make this card or one similar?  Well, here are the Stuff ‘N Digits for you…

Stuff:

  • Paper:  Crumb Cake, Tangelo Twist and Whisper White cardstock plus Flower Pot DSP
  • Ink:  Memento Black, Tangelo Twist, Daffodil Yellow, Lost Lagoon
  • Stamps:  Kind Koala
  • Tools ‘N Embellishments:  Tangelo Twist Ribbon and Linen Thread, Crystal Effects and Lovely Lace EF

Digits:

  • Base card Crumb Cake 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Tangelo Twist layer is 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
  • The Flower Pot DSP is 3″ x 4 1/4″
  • The Whisper White layer is 2 3/4″ x 4″
  • Color with markers everything on the stamp except the koala and stamp on Whisper White layer.
  • Stamp the koala in Memento Black two times on Crumb Cake.  Cut out just the koala and then just the koala face.
  • Attach the whole koala to fit the colored stamp on the Whisper White.  Add the face with dimensionals and then the Crystal Effects to his nose.  Let dry.
  • Run the Tangelo Twist layer through the Big Shot in the Lovely Lace EF.  Attach Tangelo Twist ribbon around this layer and then attach layer to card front.
  • If the koala’s nose is dry, attach the Whisper White layer to the Flower Pot DSP and then attached this layer to the card front with dimensionals.
  • Add Tangelo Twist bow to front made with Linen thread.
  • I also embossed just the flap of the envelop with the Lovely Lace EF.
