Kelly’s Stamping Friends…

What a great day!  Friends of Kelly Kent are hopping together today to help her celebrate her fifth Stampin’ Up! anniversary…

Our “theme” is HaPpY!  Now doesn’t that just make you smile?  When Kelly invited me to hop along, I was excited to gather with her stamping friends and celebrate with her!

I have no problem coming up with a “HaPpY” card…it happens almost daily around here.  So I pulled out the Delightful Daisy Suite because who can be unhappy looking at daisies, right?

A pocket full of daisies would make anyone HaPpY!

Glamour close up…

A side view to show dimension.

And a peek inside…you might notice the daisy on the envelope too.

Here’s the Stuff ‘N Digits in case you’d like to give this HaPpY card a try…

Stuff

  • Paper:  Thick Whisper White, Old Olive and Delightful Daisy Cardstock, plus Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper
  • Ink:  Archival Basic Black, Delightful Daisy and Old Olive
  • Stamps:  Daisy Delight and Lovely Friends (sentiment)
  • Tools ‘N Embellishments:  Lovely Laurel Thinlits (sentiment), Daisy Punch, Dauber Sponge

Digits

  • The Old Olive base card is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored, folded and burnished at 4-1/4″
  • The Delightful Daffodil layer is 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ attached with SNAIL
  • The Delightful Daisy DSP is 4″ x 5-1/4″.  Mark top center and lightly pencil in a 2″ line.  Cut along this line and fold even with sides.  Attach this layer along outside edges with SNAIL.
  • Stamp on scrap Thick Whisper White with Archival Basic Black in five daisies.  Let ink dry.  Using Dauber sponge and Daffodil Delight, sponge color in center and out part of the petals.  Stamp centers with Old Olive and detailed flower center stamp.  Punch out with Daisy Punch.  Cut one daisy in half.
  • Add three daisies to inside front “pocket” with multipurpose glue and dimensionals.  Add one outside “pocket” with dimensional.
  • Stamp sentiment in Archival Basic Black on Thick Whisper White scrap, then cut with framelit.  Cut a second Old Olive scrap with same framelit and cut this one in half horizontally.  Add SNAIL to each piece along cut lines, then position the pieces maybe 1/4″ apart and lay the stamped Whisper White piece of top.  Add to lower right corner of card front with dimensionals.
  • Inside the Daffodil Delight layer if 4″ x 5-1/4″ attached with SNAIL.
  • The Thick Whisper White layer is 3-3/4″ x 5″ attached with SNAIL.  Add one of the daisy halves with multipurpose glue or SNAIL at the top of the Whisper White layer.
  • Add the last daisy half to the bottom left corner of the envelope to coordinate with the card front.

Hope this card spreads HaPpY-ness to all and especially for Kelly as she celebrates your Fifth!

Here’s your “B-ism” for today…

It is Memorial Day here in the US…and while many families gather to spend the day together, we all pause and grateful say “thank you” to those who served and sacrificed for our freedoms.

  1. Love this beautiful card, Billie. The daisy is one of my favorite new items. I love how you used the DSP to make the pocket. The double-sided DSP makes it easy, even for me! LOL I understand the daisy punch is on backorder until July. But the days will pass quickly. What a great hop to celebrate Kelly’s 5th anniversary with SU. Most of the bloggers in the hop are new to me, which is very exciting. I want to find time to visit them because I love new talent. Love the “b-ism” today. So true. Have a great week.

    • This card was made for Kelly Kent…she is a doll and celebrating her 5th anniversary with SU! The bloggers who participated were from all over the world. Isn’t that amazing? I was honored she asked me to be part of it. I hope you get the chance to hop through and see everyone’s creations!…B!

    • I’m so glad you like it Jacqui…it was an honor to be part of Kelly’s anniversary blog and create something just for her!…B!
