Here Comes Peter…

Cottontail!  Yep, Easter is right around the corner and this little guy was made for a private party of friends coming next week.  This group has been friends for decades and I get to see them once a year as they celebrate their friendship with a stamping party here at the studio.

My question is … what should I get to fill the bunny?

Here’s her cottontail…

Just too much cuteness…

Here are the Stuff ‘N Digits for you…

Stuff

  • Paper:  Thick Whisper White, Blushing Bride and Basic Black cardstock
  • Ink:  Basic Black Marker
  • Stamps:  None
  • Tools ‘N Embellishments:  Circle Framelits, Small Oval Punch, Scalloped Oval Punch, 1/2″ Circle Punch, 3/4″ Circle Punch and 1″ Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Heart Punch, Curvy Keepsake Die, Linen Thread, Pink Ribbon and Honeycomb

Digits

  • The bunny is made with the Curvy Keepsake Box Die.  Cut two from the Thick Whisper White.  You can go ahead and adhere the bottoms together and fold the sides over the handle.
  • Cut the following from Blushing Bride:  two small ovals, one heart and the largest scalloped circle in the framelit set (base)
  • Cut the following from Thick Whisper White:  two scalloped ovals, two 3/4″ eyes, two 1″ circle (cheeks), two 1″ circles (feet)
  • Cut the following from Basic Black, two 1/2″ circles (eyes)
  • Glue the Blushing Bride small ovals to the Whisper White scalloped ovals.  Bend back at one end and add to box with glue.  Tip one ear end forward.
  • Tie your pink bow and add to base of one ear with glue dots.
  • Add the Basic Black 1/2″ circles to the 3/4″ white circles, add a bit of sparkle to the eyes with white gel pen then add eyes to the face with glue.
  • Sponge the edges of two of the 1″ white circles with Blushing Bride.  Add whiskers with Black marker.  Add cheeks to face with dimensionals.
  • Add Blushing Bride heart between cheeks with a dimensional.
  • Add black marks to last two 1″ white circles for toes and then to base of box with glue.
  • Add a cottontail to back with a white or pink honeycomb.
  • Add grass to Blushing Bride scalloped circle with hot glue and the box to the circle over the grass with hot glue.

Now what should we put inside?  The box can still be opened and closed.

This box is easy to put together once you have all the pieces punched out.

Here’s your “B-ism” for today…
