Goulish Bauble…

How satisfying it is to have an imagine in your head evolve into reality and be even better than you imagined it…that’s what happened today.

This week’s posts will focus on Halloween…which is a personal favorite.  Love seeing the kids come by asking for treats.  Most of them I know and make special treats for their bags.

But today’s bauble will be added to the Season to Season wreath as an embellishment…

See the glue string that caught the black glitter in the sky?  What a HaPpY accident that was!  Because of the reflection the spookiness is hard to see.  The trees are covered in black glitter and the bauble is filled with more black glitter.

Here is what it looks like adorning the Season to Season wreath found on page 6 of the Holiday Catalog…

Are you interested in the Stuff ‘N Digits?  Here you go…

Stuff

Paper:  Basic Black, Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper and Thick Whisper White cardstock

Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry and Night of Navy

Stamps:  None

Tools ‘N Embellishments:  Circles Collection Framelits, Sleigh Ride Edgelits,  orange fun foam (Hobby Lobby), black glitter (Hobby Lobby)

Digits

Cut the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper with the largest scalloped framelit

Cut three Basic Black circles with the 4″ circle framelet then use the Sleigh Ridge framelit to cut the houses with one and two with the trees.

Add glue pen glue to just trees and sprinkle with black glitter.

Using your black pieces lay them over scrap Dazzling Diamonds and trace along landscape line with a marker.  Cut this scrap so that you can glue it with hot glue to the back of the black landscape and be able to see the glimmer from the front.

Cut two orange fun foam circles with 4″ framelit.  Lay each black layer over an orange fun foam circle and trace the landscape line then cut the fun foam along that line.  Add fun foam to back of each black layer (with the glitter layer already in place) with hot glue letting a little of the orange show along the line from the front.

With hot glue attach the three landscape layers together.

Cut one 4″ circle from Thick White cardstock.  Mask with a 1 3/8″ circle post it note before sponging with Daffodil Delight first, then Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry and Night of Navy.  Pull off mask (magic!) and glue landscape layers to this background.

Glue with hot glue to the scalloped Dazzling Diamonds layer.  With all layer lying flat, add more black glitter carefully on top.  Glue with hot glue the bauble to this layer being careful to place the ribbon holder at the top.

The bow is made from 5/8″ black sating ribbon and some 3/8″ Pumpkin Pie ribbon all tied together with Linen Thread and hot glued to the top of the bauble.  Silver Cording was looped through the opening for hanging.

These scenes are addictive.  Once you get started creating a scene, there are all kinds of additions you can add.

Yesterday Sweetums and I attended our favorite college for a football game with friends.  Beautiful fall day, excellent outcome of the game!

Here is a shot of us waiting for the band to do a preshow in the street outside the stadium.  102,000 crazy fans!

Hope you are finding joy in this season.
