Framed Succulents…

The Vertical Garden on page 22 of the Occasions Catalog caught me eye on the first pass through.  I mean who could not notice that kit?

So the kit was included on my first order and  instead of making the vertical garden I made this…well, maybe a couple or so of these.

and I loved it!  Then I remembered I had this frame just hanging around and thought how nice it would look with those succulents inside it…yep, bought another one!  But this project can be paired with the first one and looks so nice in the powder room.

See!  That frame was perfect…exactly what I needed to go with that pot.

Since I own the Spiral Flower Die, several more roses were made to fill in small spaces.

This dragon fly was just hanging out on one of the studio table tops, so he was popped up on a piece of Window Sheet to forever hover over this succulent garden.

Both of these projects now adorn the powder room for all to enjoy…

There really isn’t Stuff ‘N Digits for this post, but maybe a couple of tips…

To finish a framed piece like this one you’ll need:

  • An 8″ x 10″ opening frame
  • Stamps and Dies…Succulent Framelits Dies (there are some light green stem-like pieces here and there for texture at a different level), Dragonfly Die, Gorgeous Grunge (splats on plants) Oh So Succulent (tips of plants)
  • You’ll need a sponge if you want to darken the edges.  Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede was used here.
  • Hot glue gun to put plant layers together and add to frame.  These were glued directly to the glass

Hope you enjoyed this personal project.  There may be more succulents in my future!  SU! was right on trend with this bundle!

Here’s your “B-ism” for today…

maybe?

Have a great day, stay inky and be HaPpY!

    • Oh I’m so glad you like it Debbie…if you feel inspired, my job here is done!…B!

  1. All those succulents make beautiful powder room decor! I’m sure it put an extra spark in the room. I love today’s “b-ism” and the sweet picture. Take care. I hope your week is going well.

    • Thanks HJ…it only took me two months to put those two projects together. The cobbler’s kid’s shoes….B!

    • I can understand with everything you always have on your plate. Check your calendar for the past two months and you’ll see scarcely any time to do a paper project for yourself. I’m so glad you got it done and can now enjoy it. Have a wonderful day! It is sunny but windy today, which means a good day to get some inky fingers.

    • Right now I have two projects in the works for “the littles” which I will see next weekend that I am thoroughly enjoying. And so many others whirling in my head. We also have cool temps and a little wind. Feels just like it should for March I think. Glad you stopped by today HJ!…B!

  2. I love them both. You were so clever to use them this way instead of the cardboard box. Thanks for sharing!

    • Thank you Cindy…I can’t tell you how much fun these two projects were to make. I hardly ever make something for myself!…B!
