Do you remember this post…? This frame is just the pop of new color I’ve needed to add to my kitchen, and I love the idea of creating new art each season/holiday. I’ll save the artwork with each change and reuse it next year. What a novel idea!
Here’s the frame all “doodied” up for Halloween…
And here it is ready for Fall and Thanksgiving…
The background is reinker splashed on wet watercolor paper. Let the colors run and blend together by picking up the wet watercolor paper and turning it until you like the affect. Let it dry, but if you’re in a hurry like me, run it under the heat gun. When it was dry, I stamped portions of the En Francias background stamp in Early Expresso. Then the Off the Grid stamp and parts of Gorgeous Grunge (love, love this set) were stamped in Versamark and sprinkled with gold embossing powder then heated. The leaves from Gently Falling were stamped in Versamark too and sprinkled with pewter embossing powder and heated. I think there are some pewter splats from Gorgeous Grunge too. A little fall banner and some baker’s twine and it’s all done!
Really had fun playing around with this one. Hope you’ll give it a try. After Thanksgiving, I’m planning something that says Let It Snow so I can keep it up during the winter months, which are January and February around here.
Here is your “B-ism” for today…”You are perfect exactly as you are!”
All my fingers are inked…are yours?
