Foxy Desk Calendar…

You may have caught the live Facebook video on this masculine desk calendar.  What a nerve wracking thing to do…I’ll get better at it I promise.  My excuses to not do it are:  bad hair day, fingernails aren’t polished except with ink, I’m in my pj’s…well, you get the picture.  I always mess up somehow and you are always still encouraging!

My intention was to highlight the new Water Color Pencils that will be available in the new Occasions Catalog in SU! colors!  Was I ever excited when those babies were announced at OnStage…and I was given a box of them!

Here’s a small sample using the water color pencils and showing a masculine desk calendar made for the Christmas Market show in less than two weeks.  Am I ready?…maybe.

I gave directions earlier this week on making this desk calendar and also gave them again today on the Facebook video.  It’s the fox, the water color pencils and the fact that masculine can be gorgeous too that I wanted to share.

Here’s a close up of the fox…

This is a great stamp from the set The Wilderness Awaits and those water color pencils are magic.  The Designer Series Paper is from the paper stack Warmth & Cheer.

When I made the first masculine desk calendar, I gave it to Sweetums for his opinion and asked if he would put one like it on his desk.  Yep!  So I’ve made several more to take to the Market.  I’ll let you know how they sell…

Did you hear the new Stitched Framelits are on backorder?  I knew they were going to be a big hit.

Hope you enjoyed this water color post.

Here’s your “B-ism” for today…

  1. Wow! What a great masculine gift! I’m sure they will sell very quickly. Most of the items I see at craft shows are for women. Your coloring is beautiful. I know you were thrilled to find SU has the watercolor pencils now. I go to a weekly adult coloring class and enjoy the calming atmosphere and conversation. It’s a great way to get to know new people. I’m glad you got in on the first wave of the stitched dies. Since I’m not a demonstrator, I have had the different stitched dies from other companies and love using them. They add a nice detail with little effort. I love the “b-ism” today. It’s something we all should do. What are we saving the fancy stuff for? Have a great Friday.

    • From your lips to the buyers…I hope I don’t end up bringing home all these items! The new water color pencils are amazing…maybe we will even get more colors…that would be fine by me. Have a great weekend…B!

  2. I really like your calendar! Where do you buy that size? I have that stamp set – you know, to make masculine cards. Well, I have had it for months and it has yet to learn ink pads exist! I love the images and have started out to make a few cards with it, but then have changed the image before finishing.

I was also lucky enough to come home with a box of watercolor pencils, too. I am loving them! All I want to do is sit and color. The pencils are a wonderful addition to the catalog. They are so affordable and so fun to use!

    • The calendars were ordered from Tayloredexpressions.com and come in several sizes. The one I used was 2-1/2″ x 3″. I also love the water color pencils…we need more colors!…B!
