Double Flip Birthday…

Today is my sweet hubby’s birthday.  Somehow I got behind the “eight ball” and didn’t have his birthday card made.  So last night I stayed late in my studio to finish this double flip card.  It’s a card I saw Francis Martin illustrate and wanted to give it a try.

Because the card is 5 1/2″ x 7″ when finished, I knew a custom envelope was a must.  So I made that first using the DSP SoHo Subway and Just Sayin’ stamp set and Hardwood background stamp.  Here’s the envelope…

Here’s the front of the card…

Sorry for the personal notes but remember I told you I was behind (always skidding in by the skin of my teeth) and had to give it to him this morning before taking the photo.  Here’s the inside…IMG_0730

It’s that the cutest how it flips open from both sides?  Thanks Frenchie!  Hopefully things will settle down a little and I’ll get a video up so you can make one of these double flip cards, too.  They are pretty simple and fun to decorate.  Stamp set used inside is Sketched Birthday from the annual catalog.

Here’s your “B-ism” for today…”Laugh as much as your breath and love as long as you live.”

Hope your fingers are inky and your are happily stampin’…
