Dancing With Bonnie…

It’s my last birthday of this month…but it’s really a special one.  I have been friends with Bonnie for more than 20 years and we have been through many “life” moments together.  She and her husband took ballroom dancing a few years ago and got so good at it they began teaching themselves and traveling to competitions.  So this card is a nod to the beautiful dresses she wears when they travel for competitions and her very special birthday.

Here’s the card front…

She loves to dress up in black so I chose that color combo for her.  Here’s the inside of the card…

Is that not an adorable dress?  Those silk flowers are no longer available, but I hoarded a couple of packs for occasions just like this.  I know she will love this pop up card.

Tomorrow I’ll show you the gift I made to go along with this card, so be sure to tune in.

Here’s the supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Chalk Talk, Blooming With Kindness (sentiment)
  • Paper:  Very Vanilla cardstock, Modern Medley DSP
  • Ink:  Black
  • Tools:  Oval Framelits, Card Base Pop ‘n Cuts, Dress Form Pop ‘n Cuts, Beautiful Baroque Embossing Folder, Bird Builder Punch (leaves, stems), Scallop Circle Punch (flowers)
  • Embellishments:  Pearls (necklace), silk flowers (retired, sigh!)

Here’s your “B-ism” for today…”Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.”

Lots of “Life” happens while I’m busy in my studio getting my fingers inky…and I’m fine with that.
