It was just yesterday that I first had a chance to go thru my general swaps from Salt Lake City. There are some amazing works of art here this year. I thought it would be fun to show you some of them.
This year butterflies were everywhere…
This is an amazing swap if only for all the steps it took to make it. I can’t imagine the production time put into it. There’s embossing, punching, stamping and layering. The most unfortunate thing is there was no identification on the back. Do you see the lace insert behind the small butterfly punch out? Whoever made this swap did tons of work. I’m so glad I received one.
This one I know was created by Dawn Bourgette at Dawn’s Creative Chalet. I love the monochromatic color scheme, all the layers and the embellishing. This is my favorite new In-color…
No butterfly here, but aren’t the colors so pretty. I love everything about this card. And that flower had to be “fussy cut”…can you imagine doing that for a swap? Not only that … there’s the sweetest note on the back saying this is ready to mount on your favorite cardstock color and base. It was created by Bobbi Jackson in Arkadelphia, AR. Love the cheesecloth in the background too. Did you notice that?
One more butterfly with Dazzling Diamonds and no identification on the back either. I liked this card though, not only the color combination but the reversed hello with the little bit of bling. Too bad I can’t credit the creator.
There were some pretty outstanding masculine cards in my collection this year too. That’s pretty unusual. I hope to get the chance to show some of them to you later this week.
Hope your week so far has been fabulous. I’m still trying to catch up, but it’s all good.
Here’s your “B-ism” for today…
