We have spring weather and I have been replacing all the Valentine “lovie” decorations with everything spring! I’ve been working on projects for the house and have many to show you. You might like some of the ideas for your house too. Or at least it will be an idea and a starting point. If you are like me, once I get started I really don’t know how a project is going to turn out…I quit when I like it!
Here’s the Easter bunny on my kitchen table…
Just makes me happy every time I walk by. So once I got the table set the mantle was my next project. This meant a wreath, a banner and candles. But first the framed art I change for each season or holiday needed to be completed on the kitchen counter. Do you remember this frame? Piece of cake…
I used watercolor paper and sponged the background using a torn piece of copy paper. Have you ever tried this? Maybe a video idea. Then used the Backyard Basics stamp and framelits set for the single tulips and the flowers in the foreground. The other tulips are from the stamp set Blessed Easter. The chocolate bunny I’m sorry to say is retired. He is a favorite to bring out this time of the year. The tiny spring banner was made with the photopolymer alphabet set. I cut out the shapes in Whisper White using the Banner Punch and used the stamps in this month’s Paper Pumpkin to stamp different colored backgrounds on each banner before stamping the letter. The banners are on dimensionals holding the banner and the string at the same time.
This artwork is fun to make. I save each one for reuse. It would make a nice gift for spring though…nah, I’m keeping it. Tomorrow I’ll show you my Burlap and Blooms Wreath on steroids and later the sweet spring banner and candles that match. So you need to come back by to see me.
Here’s your “B-ism” for today: “You are capable of wonderful things.”
I’m not only inky…my fingers are hot glued together!
