Christmas Framed!…

Here’s the sweetest project done with some of my class peeps.  I threw out the idea of trading cards for these frames…and they jumped on it.

I’ll show you the finished project today and close ups of the individual cards over the next couple of days.  Here’s the framed project…

Look at all those miniature works of art!  We started this project in September and finished it this month.  Once you get started working in miniature it can become habit forming.  And this year SU! had so many stamps sets that lent themselves to miniature art.  Here are three of the individual pieces…

Now this is not one of my personal pieces, but Patty has used some retired SU! holiday material and ribbon.  And look at all the layers to this piece!  I forgot to mention they measure 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″.  Here’s another block…

A peek-a-boo box opens to reveal a detailed holiday bow.  How clever is that?  And the last block for today…

This set is perfect for these miniature cards.  When we first discussed making this project I asked if they wanted to create this framed piece within a limited color selection or just go for what we liked.  They decided to use any color and it looks great I think.  I will bring this out for years to come and always remember these special stampers.
