Checkered Hello…

Here’s that Floral Statements stamp set again.  People…this is a great set.  That means you NEED it in your stash!

This “hello” greeting covers so many occasions you might be sending someone a card.

And a little paste background in matching colors is the “cherry on top!”…

Now that’s a dramatic “hello”!

This close up highlights the embossing paste background and colored pencil work on the flowers.

Oh! and that new gingham ribbon!

Here’s the Stuff ‘N Digits for you on this card…

  • Ink:  White Craft Ink

  • Color all leaves and flowers with White pencil.  Add a light and dark shade of green to the leaves.  Add Yellow and Orange to flowers.  Smooth any lines with lighter color.
  • Cut the sentiment with framelit and also cut an extra piece from Night of Navy.  Cut the navy piece in half horizontally.  Trim points on sides.  Glue with SNAIL to the back of Bermuda Bay layer to create a shadow effect.
  • Add to card front with dimensionals.
  • Inside there is a layer of Night of Navy 3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ attached with SNAIL.
  • Add a Thick Whisper White layer 3-3/8″ x 4-3/8″ with SNAIL.

Can you believe it’s Thursday already?  Where has this week gone?  With the beautiful summer weather we have had this year, it’s hard to stay inside.

Have an awesome day.

Here’s your “B-ism” for today…

Come get inky with me…be HaPpY!

  1. I had to laugh when I saw you had said it’s Thursday already. I thought I had missed a post last week, because it is only Tuesday on my calendar!! Glad to see other people do the same crazy things I do!! Now I’m thinking you are working ahead and possibly posted this one earlier than planned. I’ll wait for your comments. lol

Love this card. I can tell you are having so much fun with both of these beautiful stamps in this set. All your cards are so pretty. I’m getting the hang of using the paste in different colors to match my cards. It is so much fun.

My day has been spent doing laundry and paperwork! No lots of fun but sometimes things have to be done. I haven’t taught my hubby how to do the laundry, but he cooks, so that works fine for me.
Take care, Billie. I’ll look forward to your next creation tomorrow.

    • Oh my goodness! You know me so well…yes, I am trying to work ahead as we have two events next week in Florida. I just get ahead of myself sometimes. Thanks for catching that, I’ll go in and try to amend!…B!

  2. Billie, this is beautiful and yes, the new gingham ribbon is perfect for this card. Thank you for sharing it with us.

    • I do love the gingham…wish we had it in every color! Thanks for stopping by today!…B!
