Last week while browsing through blogs I follow, I saw on Ann Schach’s blog a sea shell made with our clay and just a regular stamp and was intrigued. So I tried it and love it…thanks, Ann! Here’s the card…
Using the last of a Paper Pumpkin and just playing around, I came up with this card and it seemed the perfect setting for Ann’s sea shell. She warns to be sure your stamp is clean before pressing into the clay. Once you have a good impression, peel away the clay and trim. Let dry or if you are in a hurry like I am all the time, use your heat gun. I think it actually puffs it up a little. Once dry, I used markers to color the shell. Here I used Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride. With a little glue I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to just the pink area and covered the whole shell with Crystal Effects. Let that dry and trim the edges if they need it. This should mail perfectly because its still sort of pliable. I attached it with dimensionals. I tell you, you can learn something every day…never gets boring around here.
Maybe this will inspire you to get your clay out and give this a try with one of your stamps.
Here’s your “B-ism” for today…”Life begins after coffee.”
