Butterfly Thanks…

All of us will need thank you cards after the holidays, so here is an idea for you from the new Occasions Catalog…

Is that butterfly gorgeous or what?  And the sentiment that goes with this stamp set…priceless.  I see a lot of butterflies going out in the mail. Me will be using this set in my January classes…just sayin’

here is the Stuff ‘N Digits for you…

Paper:  Whisper White and Blushing Bride cardstock

Ink:  Pear Pizzaz, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Blushing Bride

Stamps:  Butterfly Basics

Tools ‘N Embellishments:  Linen Thread, PL Corner Rounder, Dazzling Diamonds and White Craft ink

Base card of Whisper White is 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″

Blushing Bride layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″

Whisper White layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″

Round bottom corners on all three layers

Adhere Blushing Bride layer to card front

Stamp background on Whisper White layer and use water diluted Soft Suede refill with wet paint brush to add drips and drapes to background.

Add sentiment with Soft Suede ink

Wrap Linen Thread around bottom of this layer and attach to Blushing Bride layer with dimensionals

Use “honeycomb” stamp to stamp White Craft ink on a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock before die cutting butterfly.  While the ink is still wet, sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds.

Trace around die cut butterfly on vellum and “fussy cut” butterfly. Use Blushing Bride marker or pink Blendies Pen to color back side of vellum

Attach the two butterflies with a dimensional and another dimensional to front of card

Don’t forget to finish the inside of card, envelope and your personalized stamp to the back of your beautiful art piece!
