Now that SU! has given us this new Spiral Flower Die and we can load our cards up with these gorgeous creations…what do we put them in? Hmmmm….how about this?
We will be making this in classes pretty soon along with a couple of cards to match. This particular box contains four cards and lined envelopes to match. You could get more if you don’t have your cards loaded up with blooms like I do. Check back each of the next four days and I’ll show you what’s inside. I also plan a video this week showing how easy it is to make this box with the Envelope Punch Board. Would this not make a perfect gift for get well, birthday, sympathy (with thank you notes) or Valentines? Check below for the Stuff ‘n Digits to make this box.
- Paper: Cherry Cobbler or your choice of 12″ cardstock, DSP of your choice to match your cards inside, Certainly Celery cardstock and Whisper White cardstock
- Stamps: none
- Ink: none
- Embellishments: Flowers made with Spiral Flower Die, Leaves from Bird Builder Punch
- Since this box is for a regular 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card, I cut the box cardstock 1 1/4″ larger than the measurement for this envelope on the Envelope Punch Board. These measurement on the board is 8″ x 8″ so I cut 9 1/4″ square. Your first score line is 1/8″ more than the board read of 3 1/2″, so score at 3 5/8″ and move to 4 5/8″ to score again on the same side. Don’t forget to punch your cardstock each time you score. Now move to the next three sides of your square and line up your score lines. Use your score tool to crease each score line. Remove with scissors the small square in each corner. Fasten sides with sticky tape. Yay! your box is done. The belly band is an 11″ long piece of cards stock punched each end with the new Scallop Tag Topper and decorated with dsp matching cards inside and tied with a bow.
So if you get your box made, you can check back each day to find a card to inspire you to fill your box with beautiful things for someone special.
Here’s your “B-ism” for today: “You only get three choices in life…Your give up, your give in or you give it all you’ve got!”
I sure didn’t get inky making this box, but somehow I’m always inky anyway…
