Did you see the new tool in the soon to go “live” catalog? I’m all about tools…I love tools and this one caught my eye right away. It’s called the Gift Bag Punch Board and it’s on page 150 of the new catalog.
Since as Demos we can order early and this product was on our “sneak peek” list, I was all over it. And I’ve had time to work with it, conquer the learning curve and help you.
Here’s a sample of the small, medium and large bag…
Each of these were made from Designer Series Paper, but you could also use cardstock. There are five punches to make the tabs to close the bottom of the box and a reverse punch for making evenly spaced holes at the top of the bag for tying a ribbon closure. It took me three tries to get it right. So start with some copy paper while your are learning. What threw me off was the side scoring…so pay particular attention to that and you should be fine.
You can make your box as tall as you like (I’m thinking wine bottles) and you’ll need sticky tape to keep it sturdy and closed.
The really fun part is in the decorating. You can see I have decorated for three different occasions. The small bow punch really came in handy, too. And how about that “Bonnie” flower. That was quickly made with tissue paper, and the floral frames collection framelits with two crossing staples in the center (five layers scrunched together).
As you look through the new catalog, take a look at some of the tools. They will serve you for years of projects.
Here’s your “B-ism” for today…
