Autism Matters Blog Hop…

While attending OnStage Savannah and in the chaos of 450 demonstrators greeting each other, I ran into Lee Conrey of Jacksonville, Florida.  She was telling me all about this blog she was planning to raise funds for Autism Matters…and then she asked me to be part of the hop and help her raise funds.  Of course I said yes!

So many families suffer the effects of Autism.  Here is a fact you might not know…

Autism is more prevalent among children than diabetes, cancer and pediatric AIDS combined.

To help Lee I have opened a fund-raising page and I would be honored if you felt like helping too by donating to Autism Matters.  Here is the link:   http://act.autismspeaks.org/site/TR/AutismSpeaksU/General?px=4259999&pg=personal&fr_id=2860.  All funds are directly deposited into the fund.  Thanks so much.

Here is a sweet post I made for today that uses the primary colors associated with Autism Matters…

The centers are just hot glue…

Glamour close up…

and a peek inside!

Today’s post is not about selling product but rather awareness of the struggle many have living with autism.  I’m hoping the connections to my blog will be helpful to Lee in her fund raising.  Thank you Lee for asking me to be part of your efforts.

Here are all the demonstrators participating in this fundraiser and blog.  I hope you’ll hop along and see all the amazing creations…

  1. You are so adorable Billie. I love the Enjoy Life now, life is not a rehearsal. Can you imagine the good days with an Autistic Child. We know those days are so appreciated. We are striving for more of those good days and less struggles I’d say. So I feel you hit the nail on the head with that one. Thanks so much for participating Billie and helping make people aware. Hugs my friend.

    • I hope the blog lived up to your expectations. The designs included in this blog and the write ups were awesome. Thanks again for inviting me to hop along…B!

  2. Billie, I love your bright, colorful and beautiful card today to bring our attention to autism. It is a great cause that most of us know so little about. I read Lee’s blog and Kai’s story is so compelling. I am so proud of him and his family for what they are going through and sad that anyone has to go through that. I hope to have time to check out all the blogs that are a part of this cause. Have a great weekend.
