Here’s a quick trick for you for the Halloween season. In the kitchen I have a cookbook easel that sits on my counter. After seeing a similar project on Frances Martin’s site Frenchiestamps.com, I decided to chuck the cookbook (I use my Ipad most of the time for recipes anyway) and put up some art for the season.
In the Holiday catalog on page 21 (#132195 $10.95) there is a package of DSP called Witches’ Brew. In that set is a blackboard sheet with all kinds of Halloween art. Got this lil’ corkboard frame at HL (50% off!) and colored with markers on the DSP. Cut it to fit my new frame and I was done! Isn’t it cute? I plan to change the art each month with whatever inspires me. If you’d like to make one of these, click the shop now button and you’ll have this paper in a snap.
This would be a great gift to yourself, but what about for the Christmas season? For under $20 you could give someone a great gift of your art and inspiration. Maybe just make a change for each season rather than monthly. I’m scouring my list to see who I think would like one of these. Hmmmmm…(bet I get comments now!)
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are enjoying your weekend and that you are inspired to try something similar to this project for someone you love.
Here’s my “B-ism” for today…”New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.”
Come back tomorrow for a new technique. Go get inky…
