A Chubby Hello…

This stamp set is free in the new Sale-A-Bration catalog and it is irresistible…To me the roundness (chubby?) of the little bird is adorable.  And then there is the balloon…

These Honeycomb embellishments were first shown at the OnStage Events in November.  Shannon West was demonstrating using these in Tampa and someone asked her how would you mail that?  She took a big book and just squashed it right there on stage and said “no worries!”  So funny.  Actually a better solution is to not open it before mailing and writing on the peel off paper to “peel and stick” so the recipient can enjoy the effect instantly.  No squashed balloons!

Here’s the Stuff ‘N Digits for you…

Stuff

  • Paper:  Crumb Cake Notecard, Soft Sky and Thick Whisper White cardstock
  • Ink:  Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride and Basic Black
  • Stamps:  Honeycomb Happiness
  • Tools ‘N Embellishments:  Honeycomb Embellishments and Aqua Painter

Digits

  • The Soft Sky layer is 3 3/8″ x 4 7/8″ attached to the Crumb Cake 3 1/2″ x 5″ notecard with adhesive
  • The Thick Whisper White layer is stamped with Basic Black.  The bird is painted with Soft Sky reinker and an Aqua Painter.  The beak and feet are painted with the Daffodil Delight marker.  The bow is painted with the Blushing Bride marker.  Using the Aqua Painter and Soft Sky reinker, add a little shadow or grounding for the bird to stand on so he/she isn’t floating in the air.  Add this layer to the Soft Sky layer with adhesive.
  • Add the Honeycomb Embellishment to one side of balloon…but do not open.  With a permanent marker write “peel and open” on the peel off paper.

Hope you enjoy this little notecard…

Here’s your “B-ism” for today…

  1. Cute card. I love the honeycomb balloon. It really adds the pop to the card. Your “b-ism” is a good one today.
