Received some of the new product from the Celebrate the Everyday catalog. As a demonstrator we can order product ahead of the catalog release…just a little perk (just sayin’…).
I’m way behind writing thank you’s in remembrance of my sister and for the holidays. This new DSP (designer series paper) set called Watercolor Wonder (#132994) is so pretty…every sheet. So I had a problem deciding which side of the paper to use. I like all of them. Colors that coordinate with this paper are Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Island Indigo, Smoky Slate, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White.
In this sample I used one of the blank notecards and dressed it up with Smoky Slate cardstock layered behind a sample from the Watercolor Wonder DSP. For the tag I used Smoky Slate cut slightly larger than the Whisper White cardstock and punched each separately in the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (#133324, $22.95). After stamping the sentiment from the photopolymer Thank You set, I layered them, placed them on the card with dimensionals and added the linen and satin (retired) ribbon. Banners stitched at the top left were punch with the new Banner Punch (FREE and included in the Sale-A-Bration catalog). The envelope was lined using the middle liner framelit in the matching dsp. Inside it has a small strip of the dsp at the bottom and the sentiment that reads “so much”.
Once the first card was finished, it was simple and pretty fast to make up a set for my own use. This would make a wonderful gift set for someone who has experienced a loss, just married or maybe a new baby. Great to have on hand. Don’t ask me why I don’t have a stash standing by.
Do you have a stash of thank you cards on hand? Maybe I’ve inspired you to make that happen so you won’t get caught empty handed like me.
